My Style / How I Work
My approach to photographing weddings has and always will be to capture your wedding day and tell your story in a genuine, relaxed and unobtrusive manner. To capture it all as it really happens.
I want you to look back at your photographs in many years to come and remember every moment, the laughter, the tears, but most importantly you and your partner having fun on your wedding day with those that mean the most to you.
My half day and full day package includes a second photographer at no extra cost to yourselves, this means that we can cover more of your wedding and see if from two different view points.
It really doesn't matter if I haven't photographed at your wedding venue before, as Iudnertakej a visit with you prior to your wedding day. It gives me a chance to get to know your venue and look at it with a fresh pair of eyes.
Formal and traditional is far from the service I provide. I am more than open to working with anyone and everyone, however I do tend to keep group photographs to a minimum - 30 minutes and your newly wed photographs to an hour.
Whilst i am open to working with anyone, it is super important to me that we are the right fit. If you are looking for formal and traditional, unfortunetly I am not the photographer for you. So it really is important that we are a good fit and that my approach falls in line with what you are looking for on you wedding day. I offer free consultations to ensure that we are the correct fit, we'll have a chat over a cuppa and talk about your day and expectations in a neutral venue. This will give you a chance to get to know me and me to know you.
My style is best suited for any couple who are looking to keep their wedding photography real and formal photos to a minimum.
If you like my work and think I might be the photographer for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch an ebook in for a free no obligation consultation.
if you love the idea of having a wedding photographer who takes a laid back, relaxed and unobtrusive approach to photographing your day, I would love to hear from you.
My love of photography started just over 30 years ago when I picked up my very first film camera and discovered that I could capture little moments of time in an instant. A few years later, I was still fascinated by photography and the whole process of it and went on to study photography at college. For me there was something truly magical and amazing about developing my own film, printing and watching images I'd taken develop before my eyes.
In 1999, I left my home town to continue studying photography at University and in 2006, I moved over to the beautiful town of flowers, Shrewsbury. Little did I know that this would be where I would meet my husband and where we both still live with our adorable but crazy cats, Dexter & Brodie.
I love nothing more than being outdoors, if I'm not working you'll more than likely find me out and about with Mr J and with my camera in hand.
I love working with natural light and prefer to take a relaxed and informal approach to my work. I absolutely LOVE photographing weddings, it really is the best job ever. By taking a relaxed approach to weddings, it enables me to capture the real moments that matter, the real moments that you want to remember for years to come, the moments which naturally happen and show a true reflection of your day.
I understand that not everyone has the same budgets or requirements for their wedding day so I do try to offer services to suit all budgets - if your requirements fall outside of the standard packages which are listed on the Investments page, please contact me and I can create bespoke wedding day package for you.
