Plas Dinam Country House

Samhita & Mathew's Haldi celebration took place in The Stables at the beautiful Plas Dinam Country House, in Llandinam, Powys. This gorgeous DIY venue is perfect for celebrations and weddings and is set amongst the beautiful Welsh countryside. 
 

The Beautifully Colourful Pre Wedding Celebrations

Prior to the ceremony, Samhita and Mathew's guessed arrived and were welcomed with drinks and snacks. The Stables was decorated in traditional beautifully bright coloured yellow and orange decorations and flowers, while colourful umbrella's were attached to the glass roof.  

The Haldi Ceremony is a significant pre wedding event which is usually held the day prior to the wedding celebration, during which the couples closest family and friends apply a mustard coloured, turmeric paste to the happy couple on their face, arms, hands and feet to bless  them. 

For the ceremony, the couple were seated in front of their guests with a beautiful display of marigold flowers behind them which created a beautifully bright back drop for their photographs. Family members then greeted the couple and took it in turns to apply the paste to them. 

Shortly after the ceremony, Samhita & Mathew went to change while their guests were treated to dinner and drinks. After rejoining their friends and family, Mathew and Samhita took it in turns to showcase their coordinated dance celebrations.
