Lucy & Jordan married in August last year and wanted to have wedding photographs that captured everyone enjoying the day which showed the relaxed atmosphere they were trying to create so everyone had fun.

I started the day by covering bridal prep with Lucy while, Pete my second photographer covered groom prep with Jordan. It was a relaxed start to the day on both parts and the perfect way to tell both sides of their wedding story.

A Heartfelt Church Ceremony in Montgomery

This gorgeous wedding began with a beautifully ceremony at a traditional village church in Montgomery, Powys. Set against the backdrop of rolling hills and quiet countryside, the church was the perfect choice for Lucy & Jordan who wanted a meaningful and relaxed start to their day.

Portraits by the Lake

After the “I do’s,” we took a scenic detour to a nearby lake, just a short drive away. The peace and quiet gave the couple a moment to breathe and just be together, allowing me the chance to capture some beautiful, natural photos of them together.

DIY Marquee Wedding in Powys at the Family Farm

Back at their family farm in Powys, the celebrations continued in the most spectacular marquee, brimming with DIY charm and rustic details which Lucy and Jordan had chosen.

From the beautiful summer florals in stunning shades of orange and cream to the personalised wooden signage, every inch of this wedding felt warm, relaxed, and full of heart.

And the cake? A pork pie tower—yes, really! It was as quirky and as brilliant as it sounds and suited their laid-back, fun loving style perfectly.

As the couples wedding breakfast came to an end, it wa sthe perfect time for their speeches. From heartfelt moments to a completley hilarious speeches by the Best men everyone was laughing and wiping away tears. These genuine moments were brilliant to capture.

Golden Hour In The Fields

As the day started winding down, we were treated ot teh most beautiufl golden hour which cast a beautiful golden glow across the fields. We took some time away from their guests together which gave them some more time together, no posing, just moments of laughter and catching up. It was the perfect time to take a breath before the first dance.

A Wild Dance Floor and Starry Night

As evenign drew in, the lights in the marquee twinkled on, and the party truly began. With a killer playlist, brilliant dance moves, and non-stop laughter, the dance floor was buzzing well into the night.

This kind of wedding is exactly why I love what I do; natural moments, real connections, and stories that reflect the couple perfectly.
