Jo & Callum’s Pre-Wedding Shoot at The Quarry, Shrewsbury

There’s something special about an early morning pre-wedding shoot, especially when one of Shrewsbury’s most popular locations feels like it belongs entirely to you.
I recently met up with Jo and Callum for their pre-wedding shoot at The Quarry in Shrewsbury, and the early start was absolutely worth it. With the park still quiet and peaceful, we had the beautiful gardens, tree-lined paths and riverside views almost completely to ourselves.
Pre-wedding shoots are always a lovely opportunity to slow things down and spend some time together before your wedding day. They give couples a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, but more importantly, they’re a chance for us to catch up, chat about the wedding plans and get to know each other a little better.

Jo and Callum were an absolute pleasure to photograph. We wandered through the park, making the most of the soft morning light and relaxed atmosphere. Without the usual crowds, we could take our time and create natural, authentic photographs that truly reflected them as a couple.
As a Shropshire wedding photographer, The Quarry remains one of my favourite locations for engagement and pre-wedding photography. The combination of beautiful greenery, seasonal flowers and views along the River Severn provides the perfect backdrop throughout the year.
It was so lovely catching up with Jo and Callum ahead of their wedding, and spending the morning exploring one of Shrewsbury’s most iconic locations with them. If their pre-wedding shoot is anything to go by, their wedding day is going to be full of laughter, fun and plenty of beautiful moments.
I can’t wait to photograph their wedding and capture the next chapter of their story!
