Your wedding day should be a joyful and genuine reflection of who you are, which is important for all couples, especially those who might find traditional wedding photography daunting.

As a photographer diagnosed last year, I empathize with the difficulties of sensory sensitivities, social anxiety, or feeling "on display." My approach is tailored to ensure your day is comfortable, calm, and naturally captured.

Understanding your needs

Each couple is unique. Some might feel uneasy with posed photos, large group shots, or unexpected schedules, while others may require breaks from the day's social activities. I invest time in understanding your particular needs in advance to ensure the photography enhances your comfort rather than detracts from it.

This might include:

  • Adjusting the timing of photos to avoid sensory overload

  • Minimising attention during the day so you feel relaxed

  • Offering clear guidance and predictable workflows so nothing feels sudden or forced

Capturing real moments, naturally

Documentary-style photography, with its relaxed approach, is perfect for couples (and for me as well). My aim is to capture moments as they naturally unfold, such as laughter, subtle connections, and transient emotions, without imposing interactions or staged poses.

Whether it’s a subtle glance between you and your partner, a shared laugh with close friends, or the candid energy of your guests, these are the moments that tell the story of your day authentically.

Why this matters

Numerous couples have shared that they previously steered clear of photographers because the experience felt stressful or unnatural. With this in mind, the goal is to capture images you'll cherish, without any pressure, enabling you to be authentic and fully respecting your preferences.

The outcome will be a collection of photos that are authentic, timeless, and truly reflect who you are.
