There’s something really special about documenting this in-between season of life and Adam & Jen’s pre-wedding shoot / maternity shoot at Stanford Farm was exactly that.

We met in the Shropshire countryside, and these two were completely in their element - relaxed, connected, and quietly excited about everything that’s ahead.

This shoot wasn’t just about ticking off a pre-wedding session. It was about capturing a moment in time that they’ll never quite come back to; that anticipation before their baby arrives, mixed with the excitement of planning their wedding for next year. And honestly, that combination made it feel even more meaningful.

We kept things simple during the pre wedding shoot. No awkward posing, no pressure to perform. Just walking through the fields, stopping when the light felt good, and letting them be themselves. That’s always where the magic is. The way Adam naturally looks at Jen, the little moments of laughter, the calmness between them; it all tells a story without needing to force anything.



Shooting at Stanford Farm gave us the perfect backdrop too. Open space, soft countryside textures, and that peaceful Shropshire feel that works so beautifully for natural, documentary-style photography.

Sessions like this are always a reminder that your story doesn’t start on your wedding day. It’s already happening in all these smaller, quieter moments and they’re just as worth remembering.


I genuinely cannot wait to photograph Adam & Jen’s wedding next year. If this shoot is anything to go by, it’s going to be something really special.
