If you’re dreaming of a relaxed, marquee wedding surrounded by rolling countryside, this styled shoot at Hencote in Shropshire is full of inspiration. I photographed this shoot on a beautifully bright day, and it was one of those where everything just worked perfectly, from the colour palette to the light to the laid-back, joyful atmosphere.

Celebrant Led Ceremony with Vineyard Views


Hencote is such a brilliant venue for couples who want flexibility with their wedding plans. Set amongst vineyards with far-reaching views across the Shropshire hills, it offers the perfect balance of countryside calm and modern style. The marquee space acts as a blank canvas, which makes it ideal if you love colour and want your wedding to feel completely personal.


For this shoot, the styling focused on bold, playful tones paired with soft textures and natural elements. Think vibrant florals, relaxed table styling and pops of colour that brought the whole marquee to life without overwhelming the space. Long wooden tables were dressed simply, allowing the florals and place settings to do the talking, while still feeling welcoming and informal.

Celebrant Led Ceremony with Vineyard Views


One of my favourite parts of the day was the ceremony setup. A celebrant-led ceremony overlooking the vineyards created such a calm, intimate feel, exactly the kind of atmosphere many couples are drawn to when choosing a marquee wedding. It showed how outdoor weddings can feel both meaningful and relaxed, without losing any sense of occasion.

From a photography point of view, outdoor, celebrant led weddings like this are a dream. The natural light throughout the day changes beautifully, and the open surroundings mean you’re never short of gorgeous backdrops!


Vineyward wedding inspiration


This shoot was designed to feel achievable and realistic for couples planning their own wedding at Hencote or a similar venues in Shropshire. Colourful doesn’t have to mean chaotic, when it’s done thoughtfully, it can feel modern, joyful and completely timeless.
