Spring weddings are always something special, and Megan & Owen's wedding at Netley Hall in April 2024 was an absolute dream to capture.
Spring Wedding at Netley Hall in Shrewsbury
Bridal preparations took place in the Burway Suite as Megan, the bride, and her bridesmaids got ready, accompanied by Taylor Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department which was released that day and which marking the beginning of several Taylor-themed touches throughout their day.
The ceremony took place in the Grand Hall, which totally gives off those classy vibes. The couple went all out with their spring theme—think pastel flowers, soft greenery, and a gorgeous flower arch that made for an amazing backdrop for their vows.
Once the ceremony wrapped up, we stepped outside to make the most of the sunny weather. The gardens and grounds at Netley Hall were the perfect backdrop to their couples photos.
The reception took place in the Hope Edward’s Suite, where the spring theme continued beautifully. The standout feature? A fairytale castle cake that truly looked too good to eat. Guests were delighted to spot even more subtle Taylor Swift-inspired touches in the table plan —it was a brilliant way to bring a personal vibe to the day.
As the evening rolled in, we captured some gorgeous golden-hour and twilight shots outside the main hall and down by the lake. The combination of Netley Hall’s classic architecture and the glowing sunset created the most magical backdrop—absolute perfection for those dreamy evening couples shots.
For a spring wedding, Netley Hall stands out as an exceptional venue. With its breathtaking indoor ceremony areas, picturesque gardens, and numerous chances for distinctive photographs, it's hard to beat. Incorporate some personal touches (perhaps a nod to Taylor Swift!), and you'll create a truly memorable day.
